Yoga Immersion & Teacher Training

January 11 to June 27, 2020

300-hour Teacher Training

Created & led by Caroline Cardino

You can participate from anywhere in the world for most of the training, as long as you have access to wifi and a computer. The four components of the training are:

Virtual Classroom (40 hours)

Video conference classes - learn about and discuss yoga, anatomy, energetic practices, and teaching techniques. Every other Saturday, from 9am to 1pm Pacific Time: January 11, 25; February 8; March 14, 28; April 11, 25; May 9, 23; June 6

Two Training Retreats in Joshua Tree, CA (128 hours)

The Training Retreats are an opportunity for trainees to come together to live, study, practice, and support each other as a yoga community. Retreating from daily life allows the depth-work of yoga to truly happen! Immerse in a cleansing yogic lifestyle, expand your yoga community, learn & practice The Art of Teaching Yoga with your fellow trainees.

Each retreat includes 8 days of Morning Intensives - yoga, meditation, and study - and afternoons dedicated to Teacher Training.

Winter: February 22-29

Summer: June 20-27

Yoga Study & Practice (154 hours, minimum)

Plan to dedicate 7 to 10 hours a week to assignments: attend yoga classes, read & reflect, journal, self-care, and study anatomy & physiology. Each week, you’ll also receive a new recording of my yoga class to practice and keep.

Yoga Mentoring (3 hours)

3 meetings with Caroline, scheduled individually.

Who is This Training For?

You don’t need to be “advanced” in your practice or even particularly strong or flexible - all you need is the desire to learn, practice, and go deep.

This training is for:

  • Yogis seeking more depth in their practice & spirituality

  • Anyone desiring to teach yoga as a career or a hobby

  • New and experienced yoga teachers ready to advance their teaching and personal practice

If you’re not interested in teaching yoga, teacher training will still have a profound impact on your life. You’ll come away with life-enhancing tools from many spiritual and energetic practice, and a personal mythology to continue exploring throughout your life. You’ll learn how to practice yoga with a scientist’s curiosity and a healer’s heart.

For those wishing to teach yoga, we’ll go well beyond the basics of most foundational teacher trainings. Caroline has created this program to be an embodied, intentional, spiritual experience that will leave you with the skills and a depth of experience to teach yoga from a heart-centered, authentic place.

If you’re already a yoga teacher, this training will wildly enhance your teaching and your practice. You’ll learn new ways to understand the poses and sequencing; start to integrate your lived spirituality into your teaching; and discover ways of turning your teaching into your practice.

What to Expect

This 300-hr Yoga Immersion & Teacher Training is six months of distance-learning bookended by two week-long Training Retreats in Joshua Tree, CA.

This journey will change you. You’ll unpack your Life Baggage and let go of whatever’s kept you stuck. You’ll establish healthy self-care habits and a physical and spiritual practice that will support you throughout your life. You’ll shed ego facades and personas, other people’s opinions, and old, worn out beliefs, leaving you more authentically You.

This program is intended to stimulate a curious mind and support you in discovering what ignites your own spirit. Along with studying & practicing yoga, you’ll be encouraged to explore spiritual traditions on your own and share what you learn and experience with the group. You’ll learn how to experience your personal spiritual or religious leanings through your yoga practice.

You’ll also learn how to be a fantastic yoga teacher! Caroline’s approach to yoga is non-branded and non-dogmatic: she believe there are as many ways to practice yoga as there are people. Her goal is not to promote her own practice, but to help you discover your own - to help you become the best yoga teacher you can be.
